Tonight I got a ton of things off my chest to my wife about what I'm trying to accomplish, it felt great!! I explained to her the doal I have of making it to the tour as a player and what the entails. It's hard, hard and very hard work to get that golden ticket, especially when you are retooling your swing and finding your way mentally. I'm finding that as I get older the ability to slow down is starting to happen, learning that its not about results but the process in which you travel to get to the result. I love the game of golf so much so that I almost lost my family over it in the pursuit of my goal! The upside to it all is that my wife is starting to realize that I driven to do this not just for myself but for my family. Sounds crazy but so very true! My one singular thought is getting to the tour!! I will work hard to achieve that goal and will enlist every person that I can to help me obtain it!! I have a great mental coach in Dayne Gingrich, an awesome swing coach in Lance McWilliams and have been blessed with a friend who is a great strategist on the golf course to act as my caddy. I'm working with another gentleman on conditioning that is helping increase my power and distance without bulking up. things are working in the right direction. I have raith and the patience to make it happen and I know I have the skills to get there, its just a matter of time before it happens and everything that I'm working on falls into place!
I will achieve my goal and be a fulltime tour player within the next year!!!!
